Fondant Features Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Fondant Features! We look forward to making your beautiful cake! Please read carefully as by placing a deposit with Fondant Features you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
Our Minimum deposits are non refundable. Our minimum deposit is 50% on occasion cakes and 25% on wedding Cakes. We are unable to hold or pencil in a date for you without a paid deposit so please ensure this is paid to secure and lock in your order date. Payment is due in full prior to any delivery. Balance of Occasion cakes may be paid on collection, Wedding cakes must be 50% paid 3 months prior to the event date, and fully paid 4 weeks prior to the event date. Payments can be made via bank transfer - please ensure you have all the details correct. Fondant Features will not be responsible for any payments which are made to the wrong account. Deposits are non refundable and non transferable.
STANDS AND HIRE ITEMS
Any stands or pedestals hired require a bond of $50 which is refundable when the item is returned in its original condition. Failure to return an item will forfeit the bond for inconvenience caused and travel expenses incurred by Fondant Features may occur. Any damage that may be caused will be assessed and charged to the client. If this exceeds the bond amount the client will be liable to pay any additional amounts. Hire items must be returned by no later than 5 days after event. Failure to do this may also incur extra fees if the item is not returned on time and needed for another event. Any loss of hire items will forfeit the bond and incur an invoice to replace the hire item at full price.
DESIGN
Fondant Features reserves the right to artistic licence with all cake designs. While the utmost care and passion with all our cakes is taken to create designs to your exact desire, all our cakes are handmade with love and designs and colours can and may vary slightly. We also reserve the right to make small changes if needed for design and or structure or stability reasons. Design draw ups are a guide only.
ALLERGIES
While much care is taken to ensure that no nuts are added into our cakes, we use quality chocolate and other ingredients which can contain traces so we are unable to guarantee our products are completely nut free should you have a severe nut allergy. We also offer Gluten Free Chocolate Mud cake which is recommended for sensitivities only as all cakes are prepared, baked and decorated in the same kitchen.
DELIVERY AND PICKUP
Delivery fees quoted are based on distance and time taken to deliver and setup your beautiful cake. Fondant Features will liaise with you and your venue to ensure a suitable delivery time prior to the event. Extra charges may apply should we not be able to gain access into a venue or address at the delivery time as scheduled. We do not recommend collecting wedding cakes as there is much risk involved with travelling with larger cakes, however we do understand sometimes this is unavoidable. Should you need to collect your cake please collect within the time frames provided. We supply these time frames around deliveries and other important duties so please respect them and notify us if you are unable to collect your cake on time.
OUR REFUND POLICY - WEDDING CAKES
All payments and minimum deposits are non refundable. This is why we suggest placing a 25% deposit to secure your booking, 50% of the order to be paid for 3 months prior to the wedding date, and the full amount paid 2 weeks prior. This allows adequate time should any changes need to be made to your order leading up to the day.
OUR REFUND POLICY - OCCASION CAKES
All minimum deposits are non refundable. Any payments made above the minimum deposit are refundable should cancellations apply 4 weeks prior to the event date. Any cancellations within 4 weeks notice are non refundable,
DISPUTES
In all our years of trading we are yet to ever need to refund someone who has been unsatisfied or unhappy with their cake and we aim to keep it that way! However should there ever be any dispute regarding the design or production of your cake, any refunds are completely at the discretion of Fondant Features and will not be automatic. Any cake consumed is viewed as acceptance of the cake and no cake consumed will be refunded. We aim to keep every customer happy so if there is any reason you are dissatisfied with your cake please contact us immediately to discuss. No order or date is confirmed without a deposit so please ensure this is done at your soonest convenience.
